Position Description

Brite Star Uniforms is seeking a Production Manager to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous management experience in industries such as food service or retail and is looking for career advancement, a Monday - Friday job, and excellent pay.

Brite Star Uniforms has been serving South Texas since 1955 by providing cutting-edge uniform programs. Our family owned business is second to none with our excellent customer service and innovative and fully automated plant, equipped with RF identification chips on all our garments to sort and track each client's uniforms.

General Responsibilities

• Lead production team through positive influence
• Ensure all daily tasks are completed
• Shift employees around to cover varied workloads or absences
• Train new employees in the correct process
• Monitor employee productivity
• Coach poor performers to improve productivity and efficiency
• Log any equipment inefficiencies or failures
• Monitor plant cleanliness and manage janitorial staff
• Monitor safety practices
• Log absences / partial shifts
• Update/maintain overtime log
• Fill-In/sub if/where needed
• Team positions include, but are not limited to: shirt pressing, pant pressing, hanging, folding, wash aisle, clean sorting and assembly, dirty sorting, dry cleaning, and mat rolling.

Tentative Schedule

• Monday – Friday: 8am -12pm , 1pm – 6pm

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Previous supervisory experience in production/restaurant environment
• Ability to set and prioritize goals
• Coach/teacher personality to help team members grow and improve
• Ability to lead through example
• Ability to meet physical requirements of position, including being on feet for work shift.
